How can I be sure to change the right part?

The netbook is an Asus Eee PC 1005 and it looks like it has no calibration tool in bios. The asus eee cp 1005ha battery died from a day to another (last week it lasted 5 hours, now 0 seconds). The netbook works if I connect the powerplug and battery but as soon as I disconnect the powerplug it dies: laptop battery won’t last a single second.

Battery led is blinking like if it is charging. I’ve tried 2 different operating systems (windows 7 and ubuntu) and I get the same result: Battery in charge: 0% even charging for many hours. I bought this to replace my 1 year old dell vostro 1710 batteries. At first, I did some research to compare this battery with the ones sold by Dell. There wasn’t much information on the internet regarding Replacement batteries. Diggingshop.com is a battery manufacturer. I decided to try these out because the price was within my budget;

Performance:

This Replacement dell vostro 1710 battery is as good as the Dell-Branded ones made by Sanyo Corporation. I get roughly 3-4 hours out of it with WiFi on, screen dimmed, and moderate web-surfing. I am dual-booting Windows 7 RC 7100 and Windows Vista. I get about 20-35 minutes more with Windows 7. I think the new Operating System is much more efficient with managing windows resources compared to the bloated Vista.

I hope this review helps someone that’s deciding on buying replacement batteries. Dell batteries are clearly overpriced.

Not much to say,

I was afraid not buying the original dell latitude e6400 battery – for no good reason.

This battery had no problems connecting and entered smoothly. I am getting about and average of 3.5 hours of laptop battery life while my laptop does some crazy multitasking.
